The theory of the Hierarchy of Needs Maslow has been applied to business management and employee motivation. What are some examples that you think fit this theory of its own Experience? Does it describe how to better manage employees? Why or why not?. Elaborate on how you think this theory should implement a business structure.
I do not think this applies very well in business and is particularly bad in more diverse environments. For example, despite its supposed need for greater personal fulfillment administrative (secretaries, etc) are never going to be teachers or Dean etc. No matter the motivation to achieve more, this is very probable. And honestly, how does shuffling some papers around addressing the need for love in the administrative staff. These things can not be addressed by the work because the work is not the defining characteristic of human beings, so trying to use to motivate employees is limited at best.
