confused with dates of Frederick Herzberg’s theory?
i am doing a presentation tomorrow on business theorist frederick herzberg and, after looking at various sources, do not know if his ‘two-factor theory’ was put forward in 1959 or with his ‘motivation-hygiene’ work in 1966…
any ideas?
The Two factor Theory was put forward in 1959.
(Herzberg, Frederick 1959, The Motivation to Work, New York, John Wiley and Sons) The Motivation-Hygeine Theory is the same thing as the Two Factor Theory btw.
He revisited it in 1968 and wrote on the subject further which is probably where the confusion arises.
